Career Options Seminar

Curious about the skills you’ll need to be successful in different types of careers after you graduate? If so, then you are invited to the Biomedical Graduate Education Career Options Seminars (COS). In this series, we invite alumni professionals in a variety of science industry, policy, and research positions. Come learn about the work they do, the skills their positions require, and how you can make your transition from Georgetown into this type of professional role. We also invite employers to give information sessions about opportunities available at their companies and organizations and how you can make yourself stand out as an applicant!

Career Catalyst Blog: Event Writeups

We will try our best to vary the day and time of the monthly seminar, as we know that course schedules will often conflict. Your coursework is your utmost responsibility so to ensure that you have access to the seminar material, a COS Reporter will take notes at each seminar and write a report that will be made available to anyone who wants it. The write-ups can be found in the Career Catalyst Events Tab. However, we strongly encourage all who can attend to take advantage of this unique opportunity to network with the speaker and to meet other BGE students who have similar career goals as you!

If you’d like to write up an event, please email Julia Sosenko at for your assignment. Many policy, marketing, and science writing managers often assess your lay language written communication skills before making their hiring decisions. These types of reports are great to develop and showcase those skills!
