Current students should begin their career searches early on in their final year of study. Both MS and PhD students can take advantage of on-campus services, including one-on-one career coaching sessions with the Office of Career Strategy and Professional Development, networking at BGE conferences, workshops and seminars and recruiting drives from institutions in academia and industry.

BGE has partnered with Science Alliance to give current students free access to their premium services. Science Alliance is a great networking tool that connects students with veteran scientists, academics and researchers. Additionally, the site features a suite of webinars, articles and workshops that are geared specifically towards careers in the life sciences.

Participate in a Conference
Graduate school conferences are a fantastic networking resource for students and a great way to leverage credibility amongst employers and admissions committees. Check out our events page for Call for Papers announcements and conference schedules. Student conference participants who are traveling can apply for travel grants from the Medical Center Graduate Student Organization.
