What made you choose Georgetown University for your M.S. degree?

I found the CTR curriculum to be a perfect fit for me, my background, interests and career goals. The program spans topics such as ethics, epidemiology, clinical research administration, and project development, in order to provide a truly comprehensive base for a career in clinical research.

What do you hope to do with your degree?

This program is incredibly useful in my current job in research at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. I’m interested in clinical and translational research because it creates the opportunity to truly benefit patient’s lives on a tangible level, and I’d love to be a part of that..

What sparked your interest in the biomedical field?

Honestly, I grew up watching a lot of Grey’s Anatomy and other medical shows, and realized it was something I was really interested in. During my undergraduate studies at UCLA, I gravitated towards research because of the creative and innovate ways it can change the field.

Which of the five senses would you consider to be your strongest?

Sense of sound. I recently completed my yoga teaching certification, and we focused a lot on how the tone of your voice and the music can set the vibe for the entire class.

What is your favorite thing to do in D.C.?

Eating! There are so many great food options in D.C. It’s nearly impossible to explore them all, but I have a list.
