Georgetown Clinical Quality, Safety & Leadership Program Receives CAHME Accreditation

The Georgetown University Online Executive Master’s in Clinical Quality, Safety & Leadership (EMCQSL) has earned accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) in recognition of its status as a leading program in its field.

In a news release announcing EMCQSL’s accreditation, program Director Carole Hemmelgarn remarked, “This accreditation is representative of the outstanding faculty at Georgetown University, and their excellence in teaching current and real-world curriculum that prepares graduates to be sought-after leaders in their field.”

EMCQSL is in its fifth year of training health care professionals. The 16-month online master’s program offers tracks in Quality & Safety and Human Factors, and challenges students with a three-day residency on the Georgetown campus and a project design capstone. A three-course, fully online Executive Certificate in Patient Safety & Quality is also offered.
