Our alumni have leveraged their Georgetown experience to achieve successful biomedical careers in academia, industry and government and policy work. Many have gone on to work at top global and federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, National Health Service (UK) and the World Health Organization. They have been involved in groundbreaking research at top private biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms, and have furthered their academic careers at some of the most prestigious biomedical programs and medical schools in the world.

Ph.D. Alumni
We are invested in equipping our students to pursue their aspirations. Students in our Ph.D. programs graduate in an average of 5.5 years and go on to work in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; the National Cancer Institute; the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke; the American Association for the Advancement of Science; and other prestigious institutions.
