Bio Careers® is the first and only career service dedicated to expanding professional options for life science PhDs and MDs. The service provides online career resources and job postings to post-graduate and alumni candidates, and recruitment services to employers. When registering, students need to choose Georgetown University under the “Your Institution” field to gain full access.
Georgetown University is a Sustaining Member of the National Postdoctoral Association, which means you can join NPA for free as an affiliate member! The NPA strives to improve the postdoctoral experience by supporting a culture of enhanced professional growth. At the individual, organizational, and national levels, they facilitate connections, raise awareness, and collaborate with stakeholders in the postdoctoral community.
Step 2: Select your member type:
- For BGE graduate students, please select Affiliate Graduate Student
- For GUMC Postdocs, please select Affiliate Postdoc
- For GUMC faculty and staff, please select Affiliate Nonpostdoc/Other
Step 3: Enter your username (your Georgetown email address), along with your first and last name. To receive a free Affiliate membership, you must use your Georgetown email address.
Step 4: Enter all required information (marked with an asterisk) and any other information that you wish to have in your profile. The NPA Membership Manager will review your Affiliate membership within 10 working days, and you will receive an email when it has been approved.
The Maryland Tech Council (MTC) regularly convenes life science industry and technology professionals with a focus on collaboration, advocacy at the state and national levels, and opportunities to network in regional events. All Georgetown University students, faculty, and staff can create a Maryland Tech Council account through our institutional membership. The Office of the Dean for Research and the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs have arranged to provide members of the Georgetown University community free access to Nature Masterclasses. These classes provide online training in scientific writing and publishing for researchers, covering 15 different subject areas surrounding presentation and conduct of research.
