Connect with Biomedical Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Fellows

Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) Career Services connects employers with the more than 800 M.S. and Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars at Georgetown University.

Check out ways that employers engage with our office and students:

Host a student for a program-required internship

Internships are required for many of our graduate students. Internship projects are unpaid and range from basic and clinical research, to biotech business operations, to bioinformatics and data science. Most internships are completed over the course of a semester in the fall, spring, or summer.

Collaborate with BGE Career Services to hold an event

Employers can work with BGE Career Services to meet our students through virtual or in-person events. Common events include employer info sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and coffee chats with students.

Contribute industry knowledge to BGE’s career curriculum

We appreciate the important perspective that employers bring to career education resources. Employers can help us align our career exploration and professional skill development courses with the needs of the workforce.

Post a job on Georgetown’s Handshake platform

Employers can recruit students directly by posting internship and job opportunities on Georgetown’s Handshake platform. Register for a Handshake account and select Georgetown University as a partner school. Then create your post by filling out the job basics, details and preferences and selecting Georgetown from the schools list.
