Staff in the Joint Office of Research Administration (JORA) provide pre- and post-award support to Georgetown researchers. JORA specialists are assigned based on your faculty mentor’s primary academic department, as listed in the Faculty Directory.

Neuroscientist Honored With Harold N. Glassman Distinguished Dissertation Award

David Saxon, an MD/PhD student who graduated from the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience in 2024, was one of four recent Georgetown doctoral graduates to receive the Glassman Award. Saxon’s NIH-supported doctoral research centered on late-maturing neurons in the amygdala, part of the brain’s emotional core.
