Stefano Vicini Dissertation Award
Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) is introducing the Stefano Vicini Dissertation Award in May 2026 to recognize the accomplishments of one outstanding doctoral student, in a manner similar to Graduate Studies’ Glassman Awards.
Each BGE Ph.D. program may nominate one graduate whose degree was conferred by the Graduate School between June 2024 and May 2025. The nomination form is filled out by the Ph.D. program director or by a designated faculty/staff member acting on behalf of the program. Nomination Deadline: Friday, February 27, 2026
The nomination packet should consist of one PDF document containing in the following order:
- A letter of nomination from the director of graduate studies, department chair, or program director
- The dissertation abstract
A selection committee convened by Chair of the BGE Graduate Advisory Committee (GAC) will review the nominations and choose a winner. The winning graduate will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
