Highly motivated Georgetown B.S. in Human Science students can complete the requirements for the M.S. in Biotechnology in one semester after completing their bachelor’s program.
The M.S. in Biotechnology program bridges the gap between science and society. The program focuses on developing scientific knowledge along with leadership skills, teamwork and entrepreneurship – essentials for career success. Students learn about all aspects of biotechnology and tailor their studies through one of six program tracks.
A highlight of the master’s program is the capstone internship, which allows students to gain valuable work experience. Internship opportunities are available in all the tracks and can include research in industry, academic, and government laboratories and in business development, marketing, commercialization, finance, regulatory affairs, and technology transfer.
Application
HSCI students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the major are eligible to apply to this program by January 15 of their junior year. Students who wish to apply should inquire with Jason Tilan, Director of Accelerated BGE Pathways, Department of Human Science.
