My academic focus is on sensory processing, memory and cognitive neuroscience. My curiosity in these areas was inspired by my experiences as a tutor, where I became fascinated by how learning and memory vary across individuals.
About Dena
Dena is from Potomac, Maryland. Before coming to Georgetown Biomedical Graduate Education, she earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University Maryland.
How do you approach challenges in your life?
I like to view challenges as a way for me to grow and learn something new. Challenges provide opportunities for me to step out of my comfort zone, gain new experiences and become more confident.
Why did you choose your program at Georgetown BGE for your graduate studies?
I chose the Masters in Biophysics and Physiology because I was interested in the range of the courses taught coupled with the opportunity to participate in research.
What is your academic focus? What sparked your interest in it?

What are your career or life goals?
After graduating I plan to attend Optometry school! I am really interested in pursuing a career in vision development and dysfunctions.
