Kevin Williams

2025 Hoyas for Science Recipient
M.S. in Integrative Medicine & Health Sciences
This program allows me to approach medicine from a perspective that is not talked about often. There are many different medical systems used to treat disease and I wanted to learn more about them.
About Kevin
Kevin is from Brooklyn, New York.
How do you approach challenges in your life?
I approach challenges in my life by trusting Jesus to bring me through those challenges. When challenges come, I know that He is by my side walking through the trials with me. It is my faith in Christ that allows me to get through difficult times.
Why did you choose your program at Georgetown BGE for your graduate studies?
I chose my program because it is unique in what it has to offer. Every other post-bacc or master’s program that I found when looking for a pre-med gap year was based in the biomedical sciences. This program allows me to approach medicine from a perspective that is not talked about often. There are many different medical systems used to treat disease and I wanted to learn more about them.
What do you want to do after earning your degree?
After earning my degree, I want to apply to medical school. My career goal is to be a trauma surgeon.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by the low representation of black men in medicine. I want to be a role model for young black men, so that they know that it is possible to become doctors too.
