Endowed Scholarships


Community members have funded these endowed scholarships to support students in BGE graduate programs. Applicants to BGE programs who are eligible for these scholarships are identified and considered during the admissions process.

Lamees Hamdan, M.D., Endowed Scholarship

The Lamees Hamdan, M.D., Endowed Scholarship Fund rewards students from the United Arab Emirates who are interested in the growth of health care in the UAE. Students’ financial need is also considered in awarding the scholarship.

BGE’s first Hamdan Scholarship recipient moved from Dubai to Washington, D.C., to pursue graduate studies in microbiology.


Florence and Lipton Chuang Endowed Scholarship

The Florence and Lipton Chuang Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the School of Medicine who demonstrate financial need. The donor prefers that the fund support students who are residents of the People’s Republic of China or the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. International students from Asia or elsewhere in the world may also be considered.

Daniel F. Lynch Endowed Scholarship

The Daniel F. Lynch Endowed Scholarship supports graduate students in the sciences or in the School of Medicine who already have dentistry degrees.
